President Lee Jae Myung landed in New Delhi this evening for a three-day official trip to India, greeted by Union Minister Harsh Malhotra. Traveling with him are First Lady Kim Hea Kyung and a senior delegation of ministers, officials, and business executives. This marks President Lee’s inaugural visit to India.
The External Affairs Ministry noted that President Lee will engage with Prime Minister Modi on deepening collaboration in sectors like shipbuilding, trade, investments, AI, semiconductors, critical technologies, people-to-people links, and cultural ties. They’ll also discuss shared regional and global concerns, with the Prime Minister hosting a special lunch.
President Lee is scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu as well.
India and South Korea enjoy a robust partnership built on deep historical connections and common democratic principles. This visit highlights their joint goals to advance current collaborations and explore new frontiers of mutual benefit.
