“The Election Commission of India has finalized all preparations for a transparent, fair, and secure voting process. Balloting will occur at 44,376 polling stations, including about 3,000 extra auxiliary ones. Women will oversee 5,444 of these stations, with 207 designated as model booths.
Two stations managed by persons with disabilities (PwD) are located in the Balurghat and Asansol Dakshin constituencies. A total of 167 women candidates are competing in this phase. Every booth will feature full webcasting coverage. To ensure smooth operations, the Commission has deployed extensive security measures, such as Quick Response Teams (QRTs), flying squads, CC cameras, and more.
The subsequent phase of West Bengal Assembly elections is scheduled for next Wednesday.
