India Sends Another 11 Tonnes of Relief Supplies to Nepal

India on Tuesday dispatched a new consignment of 11 tonnes of relief material to Nepal, comprising medicines, forensic supplies, tents, hygiene kits, sleeping bags and other essential items. The Ministry of External Affairs said the shipment has been handed over to the Nepali side.

This was the ninth Indian Air Force aircraft to deliver relief supplies as part of India’s support for Nepal’s recovery efforts. In a social media post, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said India remains committed to assisting Nepal’s recovery.

Nepal was hit by severe floods last month, causing widespread disruption and damage to lives and property.
