Russians this winter are expected to have a record number of days off. Out of 90 calendar days, only 56 will be working days.
This ratio is expected due to the long New Year holidays in 2026: together with the December 31 day off, Russians will have 12 consecutive days of rest. This was reported in the Telegram channel “By the way, Economics.”
Earlier, Olga Letkova, Chair of the Association of Parental Committees and Communities of Russia, stated that linking the salaries of school and hospital directors to the incomes of their employees is an interesting idea, but its implementation may entail significant legislative and economic difficulties. In her opinion, such an approach could encourage managers to increase the incomes of their subordinates, but the state healthcare and education systems are not always ready for such changes. The ARKS head believes that a more reasonable solution would be to direct the released funds toward increasing the incomes of ordinary specialists.
