The Bank of Russia presents updated 1,000-ruble banknote

The design of the banknote is executed in the traditional turquoise color scheme. An image of the new banknote was published on the official website of the regulator.

The obverse side of the banknote features the Nikolskaya Tower of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, symbolizing the city’s historical heritage. The reverse side shows the Saratov automobile bridge, the high-speed vessel “Meteor-120R,” and the Kazan Palace of Farmers, reflecting the modern achievements of the regions.

The updated banknote has a modern design and enhanced security features. Its issuance will be gradual, and it will circulate alongside the 1997 series banknotes.
