The license is issued for five years, with the territory area being 337 square kilometers.
The promising site has a potential oil production of about 10 million tons. Successful exploration will allow its inclusion in the company's existing production cluster in southern Yamal. 3D seismic surveys using digital technologies are planned to accurately assess reserves and develop a program for the new cluster.
The initiative strengthens the raw material base of the region, one of Russia's leaders in oil production. Gazprom Neft is actively developing Yamal, increasing its contribution to the country's economy. Exploration will start soon, with results expected in a few years.
Society views the project positively: new fields will provide jobs and taxes. The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug remains a key region of Russia's energy sector.
