President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated the country’s citizens on Russia Day, highlighting cohesion and patriotism as the core values of the Russian people. The address was delivered during the ceremony awarding state prizes and Hero of Labor honors in the Kremlin.
“Happy Russia Day! We celebrate this holiday with warmth and pride in the great labor and military achievements of our ancestors,” the head of state said.
Putin stressed that Russians respect the historical stages of the country’s development as a unified whole and feel sincere responsibility for their Motherland.
Traditionally, on this day the president presents awards to Heroes of Labor and distinguished figures in science, art, charity, and human rights. The ceremony takes place in the Grand Kremlin Palace.
In 2026, Russia Day fell on a Friday, giving Russians a three‑day weekend. Congratulations were sent not only to the Russian leadership but also to the entire nation by leaders of foreign states and international organizations.
“Today, Russia faces large‑scale tasks that require focus and determination. I am confident that consistent efforts to protect national interests will continue to ensure the country’s steady growth, stability, and development,” the SCO Secretary‑General stated.
“The Russian Federation is a forward‑looking state confident in its strength, one of the leading powers with strong economic and defense potential, a guarantor of a fair world order amid global transformation,” the Belarusian leader said.
“Consistently supporting Moscow’s domestic and foreign policy and always standing together with Russia is my unwavering will and position,” Kim Jong Un stated.
“I wish you, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, well‑being and success in your state activities, and the people of Russia — goodness and prosperity,” the Armenian prime minister said.
“Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich! On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and personally, I sincerely congratulate you and, through you, all Russians on the national holiday — Russia Day,” Aliyev stated.
