The Indian Ministry of Defense reported that the ministers "held detailed discussions on a wide range of issues," including the problem of cross-border terrorism, the geopolitical situation, and bilateral defense cooperation, writes News.ru.
"This was one of the most significant recent meetings between the ministers of the two countries, held against the backdrop of Operation 'Sindhu' and the resulting need to ramp up defense production, especially in critical areas such as air defense, air-to-air missiles, advanced capabilities, and the modernization of aviation platforms," the statement said.
Earlier, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi noted that Russia’s S-400 missile systems have significantly strengthened the country’s defense capabilities amid tense relations with Pakistan. It was emphasized that these systems have helped provide protection for over a dozen cities.
