From the African side, the organizational partner for the Russian Olympiad in Ghana was one of the republic's leading universities — Nkroanza Technical Institute, where the math and physics competitions took place. The main participants were students from NSTU's preparatory faculty from the cities of Nkroanza and Nkwabeng in the Bono East region.
The challenging Olympiad tasks allowed the young people to demonstrate not only their theoretical knowledge but also their ability to apply it in practice and think analytically. According to the event organizers, the young Ghanaians showed themselves to be well-prepared and, importantly, genuinely interested in studying exact sciences, motivated for further education and obtaining technical specialties in the future.
Just like in Niger and Burkina Faso earlier, the Olympiad in Ghana aimed to identify the most capable and motivated students. Ghanaian preparatory faculty students at NSTU were able to test their knowledge, compete, shine brightly, and get closer to admission to the Siberian university. Victory in such academic challenges prospectively allows talented African students to apply for continued education in Russian universities under government programs for foreign applicants.
Specialists from the partner Russian House of the Center for Public Diplomacy emphasize that holding the NSTU Olympiad in Ghana will practically support the republic's talented youth in obtaining quality Russian education and become another important step in developing educational cooperation between the two countries.
