These trains are planned to launch on the high-speed railway connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg in 2028. The first full trainset is expected to be offered for testing as early as 2027.
By the way, the EVS 360 "White Kite" model train is designed to reach a top speed of 400 km/h, but on the Moscow-St. Petersburg route, its commercial speed will be 360 km/h. According to the state contract, by the end of 2030, the Ural Locomotives plant is obligated to deliver forty-one eight-car trainsets to the customer.
At the moment, in addition to completing the welding work on the first cars, which is a significant achievement in itself, 49 various components and parts for future trainsets have been manufactured. Of these, 12 components have already fully passed the necessary tests. Importantly, all these elements will be produced on Russian territory.
"Thus, for now, the construction of both the railway itself and the trains for it is on schedule. God willing, it stays that way. This is the most important infrastructure and technical project. Essentially, a leap into the future," Podolyaka summed up.
