Siberian Universities Await Guinean Applicants

More than 70 Guinean applicants gathered at Kofi Annan University showed great interest in the presentation of Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, which is rightfully considered one of the flagships of engineering education, and also learned about the activities of Novosibirsk State University of Architecture, Design and Arts named after A.D. Kryachkov, which serves as an indispensable forge of creative talent for all of Siberia.

Prospective students were able to learn about the history and significance of the universities, their educational programs, and admission conditions. The young Guineans were most intrigued by the stories of current foreign students at these Novosibirsk universities. In particular, students from Niger and Cameroon who spoke at the presentation shared their experiences of admission, studies, and life in Russia with the audience. Guinean applicants heard firsthand about the features of Russian daily life and how the international student community in Novosibirsk lives and studies together harmoniously.

Experts from the Center for Public Diplomacy note that such events presenting the activities of Russian universities in Africa are effective not only for attracting African students but also overall for shaping a positive image of Russia and Russian education, popularizing the Russian language and culture, and developing Russian-African educational cooperation, partnerships, and business ties.

Presentations of Russian universities in Guinea and other African countries where partner Russian Houses of the Center for Public Diplomacy operate will undoubtedly continue.
