One of the central discussion topics was copyright and the use of artificial intelligence technologies. The session was attended by representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions, the expert community in innovations, digital technologies, and intellectual property.
At the plenary session, reports were presented by Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov, President of the Eurasian Patent Office Grigory Ivliev, Head of Rospatent Yuri Zubov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Denis Kravchenko, First Vice-President of Opora Rossii Pavel Sigal, General Director of INTs "Aerospace Innovation Valley" Pavel Novitsky, as well as representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the All-Russian Public Organization Opora Rossii. Participants emphasized the importance of increasing patent activity and a comprehensive approach to intellectual property protection as one of the factors of technological development.
As part of the business program, experts from the Eurasian Patent Office presented approaches to managing innovative products — from foreign patenting and scientific publications to registering trademarks, patents, and protecting know-how.
"For technology and innovation companies, intellectual property protection issues are of fundamental importance, as they directly determine the ability to scale developments, attract investments, and enter new markets. Today's discussion showed a high demand from business for clear and effective intellectual rights protection mechanisms. I thank colleagues and partners for the substantive, focused conversation and practical focus," noted General Director of JSC UC INTs "Aerospace Innovation Valley" Pavel Novitsky.
Participants showed practical interest in a master class on using state support measures from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, analysis of real patenting cases, as well as features of legal protection for IT developments. Experts from "Gorodissky and Partners," which organized the session, covered features of software registration with Rospatent and MinTsifry, disputes in the IT sector, and developer rights protection when using open source code. The events also addressed intellectual property capitalization, entering external markets using Eurasian patents, and training personnel with AI competencies.
As part of the "Patent Promotion Day," cooperation agreements were signed between the Aerospace Innovation Valley and a number of relevant organizations, including the Russian New University. The agreements aim to develop partnerships in supporting innovative companies, scientific and research activities, and commercializing intellectual activity results.
